It disperses cement particles through steric hindrance and cuts water demand at low dosage, which is how a self-levelling compound reaches flow without segregation. It is a mixture, so it carries no single CAS number; the HS code is 3824.40.
Why use PCE powder instead of a liquid superplasticizer?
Use the powder when you sell a dry blend. A liquid has to be dosed at the mixer or carried in a separate tank, and it adds water to a formulation that is already tight on water. The powder goes into the dry blend at the plant, keeps the bag stable in storage and needs no dosing equipment at the customer end.
How is PCE powder packed and shipped?
PCE ships in 25 kg, 12.5 kg and 6.25 kg bags or 1,000 kg jumbo bags. Custom printing is available on all pack sizes and the artwork design is free of charge. The minimum order is 1 metric ton. A 20-foot container takes 18 t loose or 15 t on pallets. A free sample is available so you can run a trial mix before ordering.
